LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) – A suspect is under arrest near Las Vegas in connection to a murder over the weekend. State police say that 29-year-old Elijah Martinez broke into the home of Nathan Romero on Friday and then shot and killed him.
According to a criminal complaint, Martinez had begun a relationship with Romero’s wife, which motivated the killing. Martinez faces several charges including aggravated burglary, assault, and first-degree murder.
