Mini Coop group finishes cross-country trip after departing Albuquerque in mid-July

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Car enthusiasts recently wrapped up a cross-country trip that started in Albuquerque.

The Mini Cooper community hit the road for the “Mini Takes the States” event, starting their journey at Sandia Mini on July 12.

According to Mini’s website, the event takes place every two years to allow hundreds of mini owners to share an adventure on some of the best roads in America.

Starting in Albuquerque, the group made their way to Durango, Colorado, going north through Santa Fe and Pagosa Springs.

After Durango, drivers made their way through Utah, Montana, and Washington. The group ended their trip in Seattle on Sunday.

Plans for the 2026 event have not been announced yet but are normally announced six months to a year in advance.
