Popular actor Nam Joo-Hyuk’s expected military discharge would be around September 2024. In May 2023, an official from his agency shared that the actor “has been assigned to the 32nd Infantry Division.” He finished his military training after enlisting on March 20, 2023. Then, the Start-Up actor became a military police officer. As per news outlets, he joined as part of the 32nd Infantry Division, a Military Police Unit located in Geumnam.
Ahead of leaving for the military, Nam Joo-Hyuk appeared in the Disney Plus original series Vigilante. The drama aired in November 2023, with the actor playing a police academy student-turned-vigilante. In this show, his character, Kim Ji-Yong, becomes a self-proclaimed vigilante, bringing his own version of justice to criminals.
On June 25, 2024, news outlets reported that Nam Joo-Hyuk would appear in the new K-drama Donggung. Meanwhile, his agency, Management SOOP, told XSports News that while he is considering the offer, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
