Today, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats announced a new series of headlining U.S. arena tour dates, with support from Gregory Alan Isakov. The newly dropped schedule picks up on October 22 at Houston’s 713 Music Hall and extends into early November. The run also includes a March 27, 2025, outlier representing the troupe’s landmark Madison Square Garden debut. Along with touring news, Rateliff and company turned out the latest preview of their impending South of Here set, with the official music video for “Heartless.”

After the band’s initial arena gig, they will take their tour through the Lone Star State, performing in Dallas on Oct. 23 and Austin, Texas, on Oct. 26 before arriving at Rogers, Ark.’s Walmart AMP, where they will run through choice material on Oct. 29. Remaining in the Southern region of the U.S., Rateliff & The Night Sweats will spending Oct. 30 at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, the band’s leader’s hometown. According to their schedule, they will take Halloween off, reappearing the following night, Nov. 1, in Chicago. The group’s final 2024 appearance will land on Nov. 2 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

A relatively spacious gap separates the final early November concert from Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ March 27 Madison Square Garden debut. Yet, all shows above will occur after the June 28, 2024, release of South of Here via Stax. The impending LP represents the group’s fourth full-length studio set, following 2021’s The Future. A new video for the impending collection’s first single, “Heartless,” has been released in conjunction with today’s arena tour schedule. Watch below.

The “Heartless” music video leans into Rateliff’s childhood themes, including moving West and away from his Missouri hometown. Directed by Kimberly Stuckly, she said of the visual companion piece: “Growing up in an impoverished part of Kentuckiana I often found myself running away from my upbringing diving headfirst into books, studies, writing, and theater, all in search of a different life, a different dream. It was through the arts that I found and continue to find my freedom. In a lot of ways, I modeled our lead character (Kevin Kelley) after myself and am so thankful Nathaniel trusted me with such a personal note and important song for the world.”

Tickets for the arena tour will be available beginning with an artist presale on Tuesday, June 4, at 10:00 A.M. (local); registration is available now. Additional presales will continue throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale on Friday, June 7, at 10:00 A.M. (local). For more information, visit www.nathanielrateliff.com
