NMSU Extension hosts virtual green chile preservation workshop

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – A virtual Green Chile Preservation Workshop is being put on by the New Mexico State University (NMSU) Cooperative Extension Service later this year. The workshop will cover safe home food preservation techniques on drying, canning, freezing, and preserving.


First responders to practice emergency at NMSU

The workshops are free and open to all New Mexicans. The deadline to register is September 30. Each workshop has a cap of 50 participants.

Workshops will run from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on October 1, 8, 15, and 22 on Zoom. The event is presented by Bernalillo, McKinley, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Valencia County Family and Consumer Science Cooperative Extension agents.
