The Riki Riki no Mi is a paramecia-type devil fruit that significantly boosts the user’s strength. The fruit was eaten by Jesus Burgess, who was already a powerhouse compared to normal human beings. However, the added effects of the Riki Riki no Mi made him a terror to deal with as his strength multiplied significantly. His newfound ability allows him to perform superhuman feats, such as lifting mountains and throwing them away easily.
His strength is one of the reasons he was made the first Titanic commander of the Blackbeard pirates. It can hardly be considered an easy feat when Marshall D. Teach is being considered. He obtained the fruit sometime after the events of the Dressrosa arc, as he didn’t have it during his fight with Sabo. During the fight, he displayed no tactics and focused solely on diving headfirst into his opponent.
The fruit is similar to Urouge’s Devil Fruit, which also focuses on increasing the user’s strength. However, Urouge’s fruit requires him to absorb and convert damage, increasing his muscle mass. In comparison, Riki Riki no Mi’s effects are almost permanent.
How Strong is the Devil Fruit?
As mentioned earlier, the Riki Riki no Mi is a paramecia-type devil fruit possessed by Jesus Burgess. The fruit grants its users incredible strength, allowing them to perform superhuman feats.
One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has yet to reveal the devil fruit‘s weakness, if it has one. The Riku Riku no Mi paired perfectly well with Jesus’ brilliant Haki, making him a force to be reckoned with.
With the clash between the Strawhats Pirates and Blackbeard Pirates on the horizon, many have begun to speculate about Burgess’s possible opponent. As the helmsman of the Blackbeard Pirates, many believe his opponent will be Jimbei, who also boasts impressive strength. Burgess is a pivotal part of the Blackbeard Pirates; with his devil fruit and commanding use of haki, he will be one of the characters to look at during this final saga.
