Picture Parlour have announced their debut EP ‘Face In the Picture’, and shared the eerie title track. Check it out below.

Announced today (June 6), the upcoming project marks the first official EP from the London-based indie rock group, following a huge surge of popularity in 2023 from their breakthrough singles and live shows.
Set to arrive on June 14, the ‘Face In The Picture’ EP is set to combine the love of film that the band have, and draw inspiration from the work of both David Lynch and Alejandro Jodorowsky. It has also seen frontwoman Katherine Parlour and co. join forces with sibling artist duo Will and Ed Reid on the visual world around the project.
Today, to celebrate the announcement, Picture Parlour have dropped the title track from the upcoming release.
According to the members, the single focuses on the inescapable impact that our life experiences have on us, and how we can carry mistakes of the past around with us long after they’ve happened.
“The face in the picture represents the haunting of the past. The song confronts turbulent relationships with the things we have seen or experienced,” explained the singer. “Our track is a portal to remind the listener that the faces, feelings, and wounds which fade as time progresses never truly leave us.” Check it out below.
The new announcements come after the group burst onto the scene last year and booked huge support slots with names including Bruce Springsteen and The Last Dinner Party.
It also arrives as the follow-up to their debut singles ‘Norwegian Wood’ and ‘Judgement Day’, as well as baseless “industry plant” trolling that the members were subjected to online. This time around, the members insist, they want to reframe the narrative and centre it on what actually matters: the music.
An intimate release party for the EP has been announced too, and will be taking place at the Third Man Records store in London on June 18. It has already sold out.

The band also have a run of live shows coming up throughout the remainder of 2023, including slots at festivals including Mad Cool, Deer Shed, Latitude, Provinssi, Music Im Park and more. A huge opening slot for Bombay Bicycle Club is also scheduled for July 12 at Alexandra Palace Park.

When speaking to NME for the cover last June, the band opened up about how fast their success came together, as well as how performing live is just as important to them as the music itself.
“It’s like we’re in the middle of a perfect storm,” said the vocalist. “Whenever we have played live shows, ‘Norwegian Wood’ is the song that we talk about when we all come offstage; we are always like, ‘Wow, that one was really special.’”
Guitarist Ella Risi continued: “Playing live is a massive part of who we are. We’ve gigged so much, and embraced the reception to [‘Norwegian Wood’] so many times now that it felt like the obvious choice.”
