According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) someone in the U.S. suffers from a stroke every 40 seconds. Despite that, 80% of strokes are preventable if the proper steps in awareness, symptoms and screening are taking. Dr. Robert Taylor, Cardiologist/Optum New Mexico says whenever anyone starts to notice symptoms of a stroke they need to get help immediately, as this could make the difference between making a full recovery or having long lasting effects. He says symptoms include headaches, visual changes, trouble talking, and trouble using your arms or legs.
