ANGEL FIRE, N.M. (KRQE) – A smaller-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall will soon be unveiled in Angel Fire. The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services says the replica will be located on the northeast corner of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the hill overlooking the Moreno Valley.
Like the national wall, the replica will feature black granite panels with the more than 58,000 names of American service members killed in the war including 396 New Mexicans. The wall will be unveiled on June 28 at 11 a.m.
