Bollywood superstar Salman Khan had previously confirmed the sequel to his 2015 blockbuster, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Since then, fans have been awaiting further updates on the much-anticipated sequel. Now, director Kabir Khan has finally revealed the behind-the-scenes work of Salman Khan’s upcoming movie, Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2.

Director Kabir Khan, who directed the original Bajrangi Bhaijaan, recently shared insights into the highly awaited sequel during an interview with Connect Cine on YouTube. He highlighted that Salman Khan’s character, Bajrangi, has left a lasting impression on audiences. He further mentioned how Bajrangi is an iconic character, and people want to see him again on the big screen.
However, the director emphasized that Bajrangi Bhaijaan was not just the story of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi but also Shahida “Munni” Aziz, played by Harshaali Malhotra. He believes her story arc is complete, which poses a creative challenge for continuing the storyline.
“If you ask me abhi kuch hai script k level pe toh nahi. Ideas hai and there are many interesting ways of taking Bajrangi forward,” he said. Overall, this suggests that while there are intriguing ideas, a concrete script for Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is yet to be developed.
Furthermore, Kabir Khan hinted at potential directions for the sequel, such as the adventures of Bajrangi and Chand Nawab, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Chand Nawab, inspired by a real-life Pakistani news reporter, became an endearing character in the original film, assisting Bajrangi in reuniting Munni with her family.
Previously producer KK Radhamohan had also shared insights about the sequel’s development. He mentioned that a script for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 by Vijayendra Prasad is in the works, pending Salman Khan’s approval. “He has also readied the script for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Soon, he’ll narrate it to Salman bhai, and we’ll see what happens next, ” Radhamohan revealed.
