The department has received nearly a dozen complaints accusing some hotels of price gouging. In some complaints hotels are being accused of canceling bookings without notice and then rebooking those rooms at a higher price. Other complaints accused hotels of blatantly up charging on rooms.

Any consumers who suspect price gouging or other unfair practices can submit a complaint to the New Mexico DOJ by calling (505) 490-4060 or by filling out an online complaint form. To access the form, click here.
