Tamil star Suriya is all set to shine on the silver screens with his most-awaited movie, Kanguva. After being in production for a long time, the movie has been delayed several times. Fans are eager to know what the movie’s storyline will be and how it will entertain them. After a long wait, the makers of the film have finally announced its release date. However, it would clash with another star-studded flick.
What is Kanguva release date?
Taking to his social media handles, Suriya recently revealed the release date of Kanguva. Helmed by Siva, the movie will be out in theaters on October 10, 2024. It is among the most anticipated films in Indian cinema.

The reveal of the release date also reveals that Kanguva will have a massive box-office clash with another Tamil movie. For the uninitiated, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan will also come out on the same date as Kanguva. Much like the Suriya starrer’s star-studded cast, Vettaiyan also stars Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Amitabh Bachchan, and other famous names.
Meanwhile, Kanguva boasts an ensemble cast, including Bollywood diva Disha Patani. Bobby Deol, who made his comeback with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, will also portray the movie’s lead antagonist. During an event held by Amazon Prime Video, Suriya praised Bobby Deol and teased details about the movie’s climax. He said, “During the last 15 days of the shoot, we enjoyed with the Lord (Bobby). He made it happen for us. I’d say that he helped us make the climax even bigger.”
Besides Tamil, the makers of Kanguva are allegedly releasing the movie in multiple languages. It will be released worldwide in about 38 languages. So far, only tidbits about its plot have been unveiled via its teaser. The clip confirms that the movie will be filled with action and drama.
