Currently, Dunster’s return as Jamie Tartt remains unclear in Ted Lasso Season 4. Neither he nor the makers have given a word on his return as of writing.
Recently, Variety reported that Ted Lasso is eyeing approval for the fourth season, with some regular cast members also expected to return. The cast includes Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift. However, fans noticed that Dunster’s name was missing, which ignited rumors about his absence from the upcoming season.
The rumors gained further traction when Puck News’ Matthew Belloni shared information on the subject. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that Dunster is not expected to be a part of Season 4. He cited its reason to be scheduling conflicts as Dunster is currently working on several other projects.
The Dracula actor appears to be involved in two series and one movie, that are currently in production. He will feature in the British romantic comedy Picture This, directed by Prarthana Mohan. Moreover, he is also working on Amazon Prime Video series The Devil’s Hour Season 2 and Apple TV Plus’ Surface.
While Jamie Tartt may not return as a regular in the upcoming season, there are high chances of him appearing in a recurring capacity given his character’s popularity. In another post, Belloni confirmed that he could appear briefly but his return as a regular seems unlikely. Following his uncertain return, fans have openly expressed their disappointment on social media platforms, asking makers to bring him back.
