On Sunday, June 30, The Rolling Stones continued the U.S. leg of its Hackney Diamonds tour by stopping at Chicago’s Soldier Field. During the weekend capstone, the esteemed group welcomed a special guest, Grammy Award-winning country artist Lainey Wilson, who helped the band work through the Southern-tinged fan favorite “Dead Flowers.” Later, Keith Richards busted out Some Girls pull, “Before They Make Me Run,” ending a three-year lapse in live deliveries.

Like concerts past, The Rolling Stones used “Start Me Up” as the sonic catalyst to kick off the Windy City event before continuing with “Let’s Spend the Night Together” and Exile on Main St.’s “Rocks Off.” Prior to Wilson’s arrival, the group performed the fan-voted song “Angry.” Next, Mick Jagger stepped up to the mic to introduce the night’s guest, embracing the impending lean by donning a cowboy hat and trading lyrics with Wilson on the Sticky Fingers favorite. Watch below.

Following Wilson’s appearance, The Rolling Stone resumed their regular programming, working through fan favorites, prior to the concert’s Keith Richards-led midsection, comprised of “Tell Me Straight,” “Little T&A,” and ultimately a bust out of “Before They Make Me Run,” last performed on Nov. 15, 2021. After, they picked up six of their most beloved songs; “Sympathy For The Devil,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Miss You,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Paint It Black,” and “Jumping Jack Flash,” before ushering in the night’s encore.

Following The Rolling Stones’ stand in Chicago, they will resume their North American touring schedule post-Independence Day on July 5 at BC Place in Vancouver, B.C. Tickets remain on sale.
