Weather officials are expecting showers Thursday and breezy conditions and a chance of a rain/snow mix in portions of the area.
There is a slight chance of showers with highs in the mid 30s expected. The steady rainfall recently has caused rises in some rivers and may persist in coming days, but flooding conditions are being monitored, officials said.
So far, no flooding issues have been reported.
Current conditions at O’Hare International Airport is overcast at 36 degrees. At Midway Airport conditions are the same at 38 degrees.
