Americanul Andy Roddick, fost câştigător al US Open în 2003 şi fost număr 1 mondial, a anunţat că a suferit de cancer de piele.
„M-am confruntat cu diferite tipuri de cancer de piele de când am încetat să joc”, a dezvăluit Roddick, care a jucat ultimul său meci profesionist la US Open în 2012.
„Mi-a fost scoasă o tumoare cu celule scuamoase de pe buză, probabil ca acum cinci sau șase ani”, a spus campionul de tenis în vârstă de 41 de ani.
Roddick i-a sfătuit pe tinerii jucători să fie atenţi la soare pe terenuri, protejându-se de razele UV.
