Urban beach in the north of Bucharest following EUR 33 M investment

Starting this week, Bucharest will feature its own urban beach,  with an investment of 33 million euros. It located in the northern part of the capital, at 18 Coralilor Street.

“Lagoon Park Bucharest is the first artificial urban beach in a European capital, offering an idyllic escape from the dynamics of urban life and a model of harmony between technology and nature. Lagoon Park is the transformation of a former abandoned industrial platform of 40,000 square meters into a green urban oasis, which includes a 10,000 square meter turquoise lagoon with an average depth of 2 meters, 11,000 square meters of white sand beaches, 1,150 sunbeds and umbrellas , 2 restaurants, 280 public parking spaces, a Lexus car exhibition and countless other facilities, from water sports to our own radio, LagoonRadio”, said Lucian Azoiței, CEO of Forty Management, the investors of the project.

“Given that we have identified tremendous opportunities in Europe, we could not have had a more suitable partner than Forty Management to take Crystal Lagoons innovations further and access more European markets with our crystal lagoons. Forty’s experience in innovative and sustainable projects, in addition to its success in exclusively green developments, has led to this long-term partnership. I am convinced that we will have an extremely fruitful collaboration in the coming decades and that together we will build vibrant communities in some of the most amazing European cities, with a positive impact on their economies and on leisure tourism”, believes Jean Pierre Juanchich, Global Business Director of Crystal Lagoons.
