Here’s how to donate to victims of fires in Ruidoso area

Postal services were put on a temporary closure due to the South Fork and Salt fires, which started on June 17. The fires have burned a total of over 25,000 acres, prompted evacuations, and have impacted an estimated 1,400 structures as of Monday, June 24.

USPS said delivery services will be back up and running, “except for within burn areas as directed by local authorities.” Customers living in burn areas can pick up mail at their respective post office using a photo ID for verification.
