Chris Olave, the 24-year-old wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints, recently had the Saints fandom concerned after he was listed in the team’s injury report. However, the injury doesn’t appear to be too serious, as he took part in the Week 5 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, his play was restricted to just one target, making many fans wonder whether Olave is still hurt.
How did Chris Olave get injured?
The New Orleans Saints have not disclosed the reason behind Chris Olave’s injury in their injury report. However, it was revealed that the WR is dealing with a hamstring injury, which raised questions about whether he will be on the squad in Weeks 4 and 5.
Olave’s hamstring injury was a hurdle during the game against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4. However, he still managed to get 87 yards, along with ten targets and eight grabs in that NFL game.
Will Chris Olave return to play with the New Orleans Saints?
Despite the hamstring injury, Chris Olave was part of the New Orleans Saints squad that played against the Chiefs on October 7 at Arrowhead Stadium.
Olave got ten yards in the game, finishing only on four targets with two catches. These were his lowest stats in the 2024 season since Week 1. Following this, his brother, Josh Olave, took to X. He seemingly targeted the Saints coaching staff over Chris’ limited play. Josh asked on X (Twitter), “1 target ?”
Furthermore, the New Orleans Saints’ Week 5 game against the Chiefs was a massive disappointment. The final scoreline read 26-13 in favor of the Chiefs.
