Fans are curious about comedian Matt Rife‘s health after he scrapped a two-set comedy routine at Indiana University’s Auditorium in Bloomington, Indiana, on Wednesday, May 29, at the last minute. Why did Matt Rife cancel the tour last minute?

According to People magazine and an Instagram post by the official handle of Indiana University’s Auditorium, comedian Matt Rife canceled his tour dates at the last minute because of an “unexpected medical emergency.”

On X (previously known as Twitter), Rife apologized to his fans for what happened before, stating that a “last-minute medical emergency” had forced him to change the May 29 shows’ dates again. “I’ve been doing 40+ shows a month for a year and [a] half and never had to do something like this, I’m so so sorry, I hope you understand and i love you so much,” he added. These performances were originally supposed to happen in February 2024 but were postponed.
