Rapper Juilo Foolio passed away after being ambushed in a parking area in Tampa.
Julio Foolio, whose actual name is Charles Jones, was confirmed to be dead by his lawyer Lewis Fusco in a statement to News4Jax. This horrific incident took place after Foolio celebrated his 26th birthday. According to Fusco’s revelations, Foolio was staying at an Airbnb in Tampa, a story of which he also posted on Instagram.
However, as per Page Six, in another story, Foolio claimed, “Pol!ce shut us down and kicked us out air bnb (sic) that’s crazy work.” Regarding what happened to Foolio, lawyer Fusco further conveyed that the rapper was “ambushed” in the parking space. According to police officials, four people got shot in the ambush, out of which one person, i.e. Folie, passed away.
Tampa Police Public Information Officer Jonee’ Lewis said in his statement, “The victim in this morning’s shooting is believed to be Charles Jones. Positive identification is pending confirmation from the Medical Examiner’s Office.”
As per BBC‘s report, this incident took place around 4:40 AM EDT, and all the survivors were rushed to the hospital. Further, Fusco shared an official statement that read, “While these events involving our client, Mr. Charles Jones, have been disclosed by law enforcement, we are unable to provide further comments at this time until additional details become public record. We kindly request that the privacy of Mr. Jones and his family be respected during this difficult time.”
