The highly awaited Baeksang Arts Awards 2024 took place on May 7, 2024, at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul. It is a prestigious South Korean award ceremony that honors excellence in Korean movies, television dramas, variety shows, and Korean theatre.
The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards had an outstanding nomination line-up of television dramas and films in different categories. This year, director Jang Jae Hyun’s 2024 supernatural horror movie Exhuma scored big. Kim Go Eun won the Best Actress in Movie Award for portraying Lee Hwa Rim in Exhuma. Meanwhile, Lee Do Hyun won the Best New Actor in Movie Award for his role as Yoon Bong Gil in Exhuma.
In television, the 2023 Disney Plus Korean drama series Moving bagged the Grand Prize. Lee Jung Ha received the Best New Actor in Television Award for playing the role of Kim Bong Seok in Moving. Apart from Exhuma and Moving, other television series and movies that took home awards at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2024 include 12.12: The Day, My Name Is Loh Kiwan, My Dearest, Mask Girl, and more.
At the award show, Kim Soo Hyun won the Prizm Popularity Award Male, while An Yu Jin received the Prizm Popularity Award Female.

In addition to movies and television, the Baeksang Arts Awards 2024 also honored exceptional talents in Korean theatre. Miin (Theater) received the Baeksang Theater Award for To My Son. Meanwhile, director Lee Cheol Hee won the Best Newcomer Award for A New Movement in an Old Tradition—Blind. Last but not least, Kang Hae Jin received the Best Acting Award for To My Son.
The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards was broadcast live on JTBC networks in South Korea and on Prizm internationally.
