Frankly Speaking episode 6 aired on Thursday, May 16, 2024, on JTBC and Netflix. Starring Go Kyung-Pyo and Kang Han-Na, the K-drama recently welcomed a new cast member, Han Dong-Hee.

In the previous episode, Song Ki-Baek (Go Kyung-Pyo) struggled to act normal in On Woo-Joo’s (Kang Han-Na) reality dating show. Later, he became upset after assuming that Woo-Joo brought him to make Kim Jung-Heon (Joo Jong-Hyuk) look good on screen. He questioned why she asked him to join her dating show. In the heat of the moment, she said that he made her heart flutter.

Episode 6 features Woo-Joo avoiding Ki-Baek since the confession. Meanwhile, the entry of his first love into the dating show makes things awkward off-screen. Min Choi-Hui (Han Dong-Hee) is the new entry and appears to be the first love of all four male participants.

Frankly Speaking episode 6 spoilers: Did Kang Han-Na get jealous of Go Kyung-Pyo’s first love?

Frankly Speaking episode 6 begins with Woo-Joo’s confession, leaving Ki-Baek surprised. While they avoid each other from that moment on, Jung-Heon seems jealous of the two. Meanwhile, Jung-Heon shares his deep thoughts with Woo-Joo to show he is still not over her.

The next morning, the dating show’s participants are asked to cook for the person they are interested in. While sharing the meal with his partner, Ki-Baek realizes that the show will welcome a new entry. At the beginning of the reality show, the producer mentioned that all four male participants had one thing in common. In the latest episode, Ki-Baek found out that the common factor is their first love. All the male participants’ first love, Choi-Hui, enters the show.

Since her entry, Woo-Joo becomes uncomfortable whenever she sees Choi-Hui and Ki-Baek together. While she keeps her jealous side to herself, Jung-Heon notices the change in Woo-Joo’s behavior.

Meanwhile, Choi-Hui shows interest in Ki-Baek and tries to pursue him again. Along with Jung-Heon, Ki-Baek and Choi-Hui go on a group date at an amusement park. For context, the trio were schoolmates, and Ki-Baek and Jung-Heon’s friendship ended because of her. At the amusement park, Ki-Baek creates a ruckus to protect Jung-Heon from rude fans. When Woo-Joo instructs Ki-Baek not to mess things up, he promises her that he will behave properly. Also, Ki-Baek reveals that he understands Woo-Joo’s side after she took the idea of her show from his diary.

Frankly Speaking episode 6 ending: Why did Kang Han-Na enter the reality dating show?

In Frankly Speaking episode 6, the participants dine and wine together at night. They celebrate Choi-Hui’s birthday, which makes Jung-Heon realize it’s Woo-Joo’s birthday too. The production team then celebrates the variety show writer’s birthday.

Meanwhile, Choi-Hui joins Ki-Baek outside their house. She asks if he likes someone here, and he says yes. When she asks if it is her, he denies it. Ki-Baek realizes that he should be honest with his feelings and rushes to Woo-Joo. At the beachside, he celebrates her birthday with her favorite meal, watching fireworks together.

Ki-Baek further brings up Woo-Joo’s confession from the other day. He states that he will not yet confess his feelings to her, teasing his likeness towards Woo-Joo. The latter thanks him for not revealing his feelings to her. When Woo-Joo returns to her accommodation, the producer says that a big issue has occurred. Ki-Baek’s partner on the show has abruptly left without a warning.

The episode ends with Woo-Joo saving her show by becoming a new participant. A night before, Jung-Heon tells Ki-Baek that he used to date Woo-Joo. When Ki-Baek asks why he is telling him, Jung-Heon mentions that it is time that he should know. Hence, the variety show may now focus on the two fighting to win Woo-Joo’s heart.

K-drama Frankly Speaking airs new episodes twice a week on Wednesday and Thursday on JTBC and Netflix.
