INSCOP Survey: Over Half of Romanians Trust 2024 Elections To Be Correct

More than half of Romanians believe that this year’s elections – local, European parliamentary, presidential, parliamentary – will be organized correctly, according to a survey carried out by INSCOP commissioned by News.ro. However, more than a third believe that the elections will be organized rather incorrectly, the highest percentage of respondents who do not believe in the correctness of the ballot, 41%, registering in the case of the parliamentary elections.

57.8% of Romanians believe that this year’s European parliamentary and local elections will be organized rather correctly, 38.2% that they will be organized rather incorrectly, and 4% do not know or do not answer. 

58.1% of the respondents believe that this year’s presidential elections will be organized rather correctly, 37.6% that they will be organized rather incorrectly, and 4.3% do not know or do not answer.

As for this year’s parliamentary elections, 54.5% of those interviewed believe that they will be organized rather correctly, 41% that they will be organized rather incorrectly, and 4.5% do not know or do not answer.
Who believes that this year’s elections, regardless of their type – local, European parliamentary, presidential, parliamentary – will be organized correctly: Mainly PSD-PNL and ADU voters, people with higher education, rural residents and state employees.
Especially AUR voters, young people under 30, those with a lower income and residents of Bucharest, believe the elections will not be held in a correct manner.
