South Indian icon Mammootty recently made a massive comeback with his latest actioner Turbo. Turbo, directed by Vysakh, reunited him with the megastar Mammootty. The film has been a massive hit at the box office, solidifying its status as a blockbuster. The actor, who plays the central character Turbo Jose, has once again proved his mettle in the film industry after Bramayugam.
Hence, the buzz around Turbo’s OTT release details is palpable. According to the latest updates, Turbo will be reportedly available for streaming on Sony LIV. Additionally, based on the trends, the film might be released around 12:30 p.m. on the streaming platform. However, the exact release date and time have not been officially announced yet. Despite the film’s action-packed trailer, he described Jose as a regular tourist driver who gets involved in minor conflicts during local festivals. He emphasized that, unlike some of his previous roles, Jose is not a goon or mafia member but faces significant challenges that drive the plot.
Speaking about Jose, Mammootty mentioned, “I have created numerous characters with a Christian background and set in rural, hilly areas; nonetheless, each character is unique in their own manner.” He further explained that Turbo does not heavily lean into comedy.
