In the advent of the war, they both have to enlist to join the army. Tatsuo becomes the unit leader of Jun Shik’s platoon and tries to plan a war strategy, but it fails. They get caught by the Soviets after escaping, then by the Germans, and they get separated. But fate has other plans for the duo as in 1944, they unexpectedly met again in Normandy.
The movie stars Jang Dong-gun as Jun-shik, Joe Odagiri as Tatsuo Hasegawa, Fan Bingbing as Shirai, and Kim In-kwon as Lee Jong-dae.
