Netflix’s new TV and movie releases for May 27 – June 2 2024 include the miniseries Eric, the teen-drama Geek Girl, and the Swedish drama movie A Part of You.
Starting May 30, Netflix subscribers can stream Eric. This is a six-part series starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Vincent, a puppeteer in 1980s New York. The story unfolds as Vincent faces a terrible situation when his 9-year-old son Edgar goes missing. Desperate to find him, he decides to take the help of his 7-foot-tall puppet Eric to locate his son.
Then on May 30, viewers can watch the British teen drama Geek Girl. Emily Carey stars as Harriet Manners, an awkward teen and social outcast whose life takes a dramatic turn when she is found by a top London model agent.
Then on May 31, Netflix subscribers can watch A Part of You. This Swedish drama is a coming-of-age story about a teenager who tries to change her life following a big tragedy that shakes her world.
Another release on Netflix this week is Patrick Melrose, a 2018 drama series originally released on Showtime and based on Edward St. Aubyn’s semi-autobiographical books of the same name. Benedict Cumberbatch plays the titular protagonist, a wealthy Englishman who attempts to overcome his substance abuse problems and dark moods caused by his abusive father and neglectful mother.
