Parent arrested after disturbance at Farmington High School, police say

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – A parent was arrested following an incident at Farmington High School on Friday.

The parent, identified by police as 39-year-old Jason Kinney, became upset and disorderly during a meeting with faculty around 9:20 a.m. As a precaution, Farmington High School was placed in a preventative lockdown until the situation was resolved. The lockdown has since been lifted, and there is no longer a threat, police said.

Kinney was charged with trespassing, disruption of the educational process, resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer, battery on a peace officer, DWI, and criminal damage to property.
