On May 14, 2024, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Kouji Seo’s The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses anime released a promotional video for its second season. The video included a key visual and details about its release.

The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses Season 2 anime: Everything you need to know
The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses season 2 will be part of the 2024 summer anime lineup. Seo’s anime will premiere on July 4 at 12:26 a.m. JST (effectively, July 5) on several Japanese stations. The first season was released in April 2023, ran for 12 episodes, and was streamed on Crunchyroll.
The key visual showed the new members of the rival cafe “Family,” who will appear this season. They include Kana Hanazawa playing Hekiru Yoshino, Ayana Taketatsu playing Ririka Chiyoda, Reina Ueda playing Moemi Sо̄ya, Rie Takahashi playing Mao Takasaki, and Yū Serizawa playing Valentina Azuma.
As for staff, The Quintessential Quintuplets director Satoshi Kuwabara returns to direct the anime at Tezuka Productions. Meanwhile, Keiichirō Ōchi will handle the scripts, Masatsune Noguchi will design the characters, and Shu Kanematsu and Miki Sakurai will compose the music.
Kodansha USA Publishing releases the manga in English. It describes the story as “When Hayato’s grandmother passed, he planned to sell her rundown café on the shore—not realizing that it was also home to five young women who call themselves her family?! Their desperation to keep the café open convinces Hayato to give it a shot. But even their best intentions might not be enough to make it work! And can he even work with these five unruly women? No matter what, he’s got his work cut out for him!”
