According to Deadline, Billy Magnussen (Game Night, Aladdin), Hamish Linklater (The Big Short, The Midnight Mass), Sarah Gadon (Enemy, Dracula Untold), Brandon Perea (Nope, Twisters), and Yuvi Hecht (Pretty Freekin Scary) have officially been enlisted to join the star-studded cast of Sony Pictures’ A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.
They will be joining previously announced cast members Margot Robbie, Colin Farrell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Lily Rabe, Jodie Turner-Smith, and newcomer Lucy Thomas. The upcoming romance fantasy drama will reunite Linklater with Rabe after the couple recently co-directed the comedy-drama Downtown Owl, which was also released by Sony. This also marks Hecht’s feature-length acting debut.
Who’s involved in A Big Bold Beautiful Journey?
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey will be directed and executive produced by Kogonada from a screenplay written by The Menu’s Seth Reiss. The film is being described as “an imaginative tale of two strangers and the emotional journey that connects them.” It is produced by Reiss and Youree Henly along with Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, and Ryan Friedkin for Imperative Entertainment. Ilene Feldman and Ori Eisen are executive producing, with 30West set as its financier.
Production is expected to begin sometime this Spring in California. At the moment, the release date for the high-profile movie hasn’t been revealed yet.
