Gruparea jihadistă Stat Islamic a susținut, într-un mesaj trimis de agenția Amaq a grupului, pe Telegram, că luptătorii săi au atacat la periferia Moscovei, „ucigând și rănind sute de persoane și provocând o mare distrugere a locului înainte de a se retrage în bazele lor în siguranță”. Moscova nu a reacționat deocamdată la anunțul grupării.
Ce este ISIS-K
Statul Islamic Khorasan (ISIS-K) este o ramură regională a grupării teroriste Statul Islamic, care activează în Asia Centrală și de Sud, în principal în Afganistan, dar și în Pakistan, Tadjikistan și alte țări vecine.
Gruparea, numită după un termen vechi pentru regiunea care includea părți din Iran, Turkmenistan și Afganistan, a apărut în estul Afganistanului la sfârșitul anului 2014 și și-a stabilit rapid o reputație de brutalitate extremă.
ISIS-K, una dintre cele mai active afiliate regionale ale ISIS, a înregistrat o scădere a numărului de membri de la vârful de activitate din 2018, când talibanii și forțele americane au provocat pierderi grele.
SUA au declarat că abilitatea lor de a obține informații despre grupurile extremiste din Afganistan, cum ar fi ISIS-K, s-a redus semnificativ de când și-au retras trupele din țară, în 2021.
Ce atacuri a comis gruparea
ISIS-K are o istorie de atacuri, inclusiv împotriva moscheilor, în interiorul și în afara Afganistanului.
La începutul anului, SUA au interceptat comunicații care au confirmat că ISIS a efectuat două atentate cu bombă în Iran, în urma cărora au murit aproape 100 de persoane.
În septembrie 2022, militanții ISIS-K au revendicat responsabilitatea pentru un atentat sinucigaș mortal cu bombă la ambasada Rusiei din Kabul.
Grupul a fost responsabil pentru un atac asupra aeroportului internațional din Kabul în 2021, care a ucis 13 soldați americani și zeci de civili în timpul evacuării haotice a SUA din țară.
„ISIS-K și aliații săi păstrează un adăpost sigur în Afganistan și continuă să-și dezvolte rețelele în și în afara țării. Obiectivele lor nu se opresc aici. Ei au cerut atacuri la nivel global asupra oricui nu este aliniat cu ideologia lor extremistă, iar eforturile talibanilor de a suprima grupul s-au dovedit insuficiente”, declara la începutul lunii martie generalul Michael Kurilla, comandantul Comandamentului Central al SUA, citat de The Guardian.
De ce atacă Rusia
ISIS-K și-a concentrat tot mai mult atenția asupra Rusiei de când Statele Unite au părăsit Afganistanul în 2021.
La 7 martie, Serviciul Federal de Securitate al Rusiei (FSB) a declarat că a împiedicat un atac asupra unei sinagogi din Moscova, care era planificat de o celulă a Statului Islamic.
Deși atacul ISIS-K de vineri, 22 martie, asupra salii de concerte Crocus de la periferia Moscovei a fost o escaladare dramatică, experții citați de Reuters au declarat că gruparea s-a opus președintelui rus Vladimir Putin în ultimii ani.
Putin a schimbat cursul războiului civil sirian intervenind în 2015, sprijinindu-l pe președintele Bashar al-Assad împotriva opoziției și a Statului Islamic.
„ISIS-K a făcut o fixație asupra Rusiei în ultimii doi ani, criticându-l frecvent pe Putin în propaganda sa”, a declarat Colin Clarke de la Soufan Center, un grup de cercetare cu sediul la Washington.
La rândul său, Michael Kugelman, de la institutul de cercetare Wilson, cu sediul la Washington, a declarat că ISIS-K „vede Rusia ca fiind complice la activități care îi oprimă în mod regulat pe musulmani”.
El a adăugat că gruparea numără printre membri și o serie de militanți din Asia Centrală care au propriile nemulțumiri față de Moscova.
