The modern C-drama Best Choice Ever released episode 30 on April 22, 2024. It features Xu Kai and Yang Zi in the lead roles. The episode primarily focuses on Zhi Ming (Xu Kai) coming face to face with his father after many years. Cheng Huan (Yang Zi) dismisses one of the hotel’s corrupt employees. She makes it clear to her staff members that she won’t stand someone taking benefits for oneself. After Zhi Ming learns about Cheng Huan being humiliated, he rushes over.
Zhi Ming discovers that Cheng Huan has a high fever and takes her to the hospital. But Cheng Huan is unable to erase the incident from her head. Zhi Ming urges her to stop overthinking as it would make her even more sick. Cheng Huan expresses her wish to be a leader everyone likes, just like her grandmother. But she keeps failing. Like a true partner, Zhi Ming consoles her and encourages her never to lose hope.
After the hospital discharges her, Cheng Huan runs into her friend, Duoduo. She is in dire need of a job as her family has been pressuring her to get married. Cheng Huan takes this opportunity to offer her a position at Xiang’anli.
Best Choice Ever ep 30: Xu Kai throws his father out of the house
Cheng Zao (Gala Zhang) finally visits his home. Mrs. Liu is elated to see her son. She apologizes to him for not paying him proper attention in the past and for constantly criticizing him. Zao asks her not to dwell in the past. Mrs. Liu promises not to repeat those actions. The mother and son finally reconcile.
In episode 30 of Best Choice Ever, a strange man barges inside the Mai residence despite Mrs. Liu’s request to leave and claims to be the owner of the house. He introduces himself as Zhi Ming’s father. He is pretty rude and disrespects the Mai family. Cheng Huan calls Zhi Ming and tells him about the whole situation.
Zhi Ming comes back. Just as Mr. Yao tries to get close to him, he drags him out of the house. Zhi Ming drives him to the airport. He tells him to go back to Switzerland. Mr. Yao apologizes for his mistakes, but Zhi Ming is not ready to forgive him. He recalls how his father abandoned him when he needed him the most. As the car stops at a traffic signal, Mr. Yao gets out and flees.
The next day at work, Cheng Huan receives support from one of her employees. She is informed about a man refusing to leave the hotel lobby. Cheng Huan finds Mr. Yao sitting there. Mr. Yao gives her a hard time and says that Cheng Huan does not deserve to inherit the hotel as she had a blood relation with her grandmother.
Zhi Ming hears that his father is causing problems once again and visits Xiang’anli. But before he can get him out, Mr. Yao locks himself in a room. Cheng Huan calms him down after they get back home.
