The highly anticipated K-drama Blood Free will release its final set of episodes, 9 and 10, on Wednesday, May 7, 2024, at 4 p.m. KST on Disney Plus. The newly released trailer for these episodes documents BF Group CEO Yoon Ja-Yoo’s (Han Hyo-Joo) final battle to protect the biotechnology company and succeed in her mission to create a dominant species. However, attacks on her and BF Group by people aspiring to steal her technology lead to a war-like situation inside the company.
Blood Free is a futuristic drama centered around the biotechnology lab BF Group and its CEO, Yoon Ja-Yoo, who dominate the genetically engineered cultured meat market. However, Ja-Yoo has a larger mission to create a dominant species using cultured organs, especially for people suffering from terminal illnesses. When people inside the company and outside try to take over the group, Ja-Yoo fights to save her mission with the help of Woo Chae-Woon (Ju Ji-Hoon).
Blood Free Episodes 9 & 10: Han Hyo-Joo, Ju Ji-Hoon fight to save BF Group
The trailer for the final set of Blood Free episodes 9 began with On San informing Yoon Ja-Yoo about potentially discovering the spy behind all attacks on BF Group. He notes that it wasn’t just the late Professor Kim Shin-Gu, but someone who brainwashed him into spreading rumors about the company. Meanwhile, researcher Hong Sae-Ip checks on an unconscious Jung Hae-Dun. The latter has been in BF Group’s captivity for her alleged involvement as a spy for Seon Woo-Geun.
While Ja-Yoo promises to find the spy and reveal their identity to the real world, Hae-Dun manages to escape from the BF Group. Her plans to deceive former colleagues work in her favor as she successfully gets out of the company. From the trailer, it looks like Ja-Yoo met with Kim Shin-Gu’s killer, Park Sang-Min, asking him to make a choice. Just when she hopes to make progress, she gets into a life-threatening car accident.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Seo Woon-Jae makes a deal with his father, Seo Woo-Geun. If he brings a sample of cultured organs from the BF Group, Woo-Geun would have to make a copy of the same so he could become a dominant species. Woo-Geun looks excited at the prospect of his mission of making himself immortal come true. By the end of the trailer, Woon-Jae orders a search and seizure of the BF Group.
Woo Chae-Woon also makes progress in finding out the mastermind behind the Azoran bomb blasts. It eventually connects him back to the BF Group. He helps Ja-Yoo and her team fight for their mission and succeed in protecting the company from outside forces.
