Blue Lock chapter 259 was released on Tuesday, April 24, 2024. The chapter is available on Kodansha’s K Manga website and mobile application. However, the availability is restricted to the readers in the United States of America. Titled “Challenge the Impossible!”, chapter 259 of the manga series begins with Michael Kaiser appearing on the first panel. A seemingly angry Kaiser thinks about turning the game in Bastard Munchen’s favor after Isagi Yoichi’s goal in chapter 257.

Kaiser admits that Isagi Yoichi will quickly take over the team if he masters his shot. However, a frustrated Kaiser is not ready to accept this defeat at Yoichi’s hands. So, he plans to team up with Ness to ensure that Yoichi never overtakes Kaiser.

As the game recommences with PXG and Bastard Munchen tied at 1-1, Rin gains possession of the ball. Charles Chevalier requests a pass from Rin Itoshi, but Loki voices his frustration with Charles’ apathy and inclination to give up. Consequently, Rin opts to pass the ball to Karasu instead of Charles.

However, Raichi and Hiyori block the ball with a double press, leading the ball to Kurona Ranze. Kurona then aims the ball at Isagi but in vain. Kaiser signals at Ness to interrupt the pass to Isagi. The two team up to showcase the “Magnus Effect” and throw the ball towards a goal.

Before revealing the outcome of the duo’s endeavors, the chapter redirects readers to a flashback. This flashback depicts Kaiser and Ness discussing the physical phenomenon known as the Magnus Effect, coupled with the Kaiser Impact. Kaiser elucidates that the Magnus Effect relies on variations in air resistance surrounding the ball.

Ness acknowledges the idea of the Magnus Effect to be “pretty cool,” but Kaiser explains that this technique works only when the ball rests. Yet, Ness quickly realizes that the ball will be moving during the game, posing a problem in the plan. Kaiser also admits that he has not succeeded with the technique when the ball is in motion. However, the duo intends to complete Kaiser’s new weapon on the field.

From there, the chapter returns to the game in which Ness roots Kaiser to score the goal after recognizing the passion in his resolve. Kaiser brilliantly understands the opponent team’s formation in defending the goal. The Bastard Munchen player then implements the technique, as discussed with Ness according to the flashback, and strikes the ball.

Kaiser employs his technique, the “Kaiser Impact: Magnus,” aiming to score despite the challenge of a moving ball. However, to the dismay of Kaiser, Ness, and Bastard Munchen, the insufficient spin prevents the ball from reaching the goal, frustrating Kaiser despite his best efforts and new weapon.

Though Kaiser could not score the goal this time with his new weapon, fans speculate that the mangaka is simply using this opportunity to introduce it for the time being. As such, fans took to social media to discuss how Nagi’s first attempt had also failed. Hence, there is a possibility that Kaiser might use this technique with much more precision to score a goal successfully in the near future.
