Lake Zurich makes a move in the rankings, and player of the week Shae Johnson leads unbeaten Mundelein to three wins in one day.

Jadynn Ruiz and Claire Schuyler are playing excellent defense for the Sequoits, robbing batters of several hits.

2. Mundelein 22-0 (2)

Karina Benes has a .557 on-base percentage from the second spot in the Mustangs’ order.

3. Warren 16-5 (3)

Katie Monroe is playing stellar defense behind the plate and has delivered several timely hits.

4. Stevenson 12-8-2 (4)

Freshman Jasmine Lucero is batting .529 over the past week, including two big hits during the Patriots’ 6-5 win against Schaumburg on Saturday.

Sophomore pitcher Shae Johnson strikes out 27 over 13 innings in two of unbeaten Mundelein’s three victories on Saturday and goes 5-for-5 with two homers, a double and five RBIs against Johnsburg.
