The speculation arose last night (May 2), after the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that paramedics were dispatched to the hotel, after a call was received at 12:42am, claiming that a woman had been injured (via NBC News).

“We received a 911 call reporting an adult female, who had been injured,” an LAFD rep confirmed to Page Six. “The caller did not have much information regarding the nature of the injury. We sent one ambulance to the location.”

It’s not clear whether any treatment was offered at the scene but the spokesperson confirmed they “did not transport anyone to the hospital”.

Other reports claimed that onlookers saw some sort of disturbance, and Paparazzi photos captured Spears – draped in a blanket and holding a pillow – alongside rumoured boyfriend Paul Richard Soliz outside of the location.

Although the LAFD has yet to officially identify Spears, numerous outlets have speculated that the issue may have been a physical altercation that the pop icon got into with her rumoured boyfriend.

Now, Spears herself has spoken out about what happened at Chateau Marmont and confirmed that the reports about her and Soliz are false.

In an Instagram post shared hours later, the ‘Toxic’ singer claimed that the paramedics “showed up at my door illegally” at the hotel after she twisted her ankle. “They never came in my room but I felt [completely] harassed,” she added, before claiming that she was going to move to Boston.

Elsewhere in the post, she hit back at the reports that had been circulating: “Just to let people know … the news is fake !!! I Would like respect at this time for people to understand I am getting stronger everyday!!! Truth sucks so can someone teach me how to lie?”

“Goddeses out there, I’m reaching my higher power and furthermore, I hope you guys are too!” she continued. “I need an espresso.”

In a follow-up post, Spears shared a video that showed her swollen ankle. “I really twisted my ankle last night. Just to show proof — it’s so bad. Fucking idiot here tries to do a leap in the living room at the Chateau, and I fell — embarrassed myself. That’s it,” she wrote.

“It is actually pretty bad, but shit happens.”

The incident at Chateau Marmont took place just hours after it was reported by Rolling Stone that Spears had reached a divorce settlement with her ex-husband, Sam Asghari, whom she dated for seven years and married in June 2022.

It also occurred shortly after Spears claimed that there is “no justice” after being left to foot the bill of $2million in legal fees following her conservatorship battle.
