The highly anticipated episode 5 of the ongoing K-drama Chief Detective 1958 is all set to air at a different time than its regular airtime. The period comedy crime-action drama will release the upcoming episode on MBC TV at 9:40 p.m. KST on Friday, May 3, 2024.

It also showed Young-Han and Lee Hae-Joo (Seo Eun-Soo) sharing their first kiss. Thus, the upcoming episode is much-awaited.
MBC has also dropped a preview trailer for Chief Detective 1958 episode 5 on Instagram. It begins on a shocking and heartbreaking note. The detectives, including Young-Han (Lee Je-Hoon), Kyung-Hwan (Choi Woo-Sung), Sang-Soon (Lee Dong-Hwi), and Ho-Jeong (Yoon Hyun-Soo), find out about the sad demise of Sung Chill. They are devastated by the news, as they had become close to Sung Chil and Grandma Ho.
The trailer then sees Geum Ok mention that she believes Viper’s men are behind Sung Chil’s murder. Young-Han then goes to Viper’s office and roughs up his men. However, later on, he feels defeated as he does not have any evidence against Viper and his men, despite knowing their crime. But Young-Han decides not to give up. He then ends up in trouble as Chairman Lee gives him a warning. The preview trailer ends with Young-Han giving a proposal to the chairman.
