GALLUP, N.M. (KRQE) – City officials stated a Gallup firefighter was taken into custody after charges were filed with the New Mexico Department of Justice. The member was also placed on administrative leave.
In a press release, the city did not identify the firefighter. However, they stated the actions of the individual do not reflect the city or department’s mission.
The city would not provide any additional information when prompted.
