„Da! Și eu pot s-o fac!”. Iana, fata de 12 ani care și-a pierdut ambele picioare în atacul asupra gării din Kramatorsk, a alergat la un semimaraton | FOTO

O fată din Ucraina care și-a pierdut anul trecut ambele picioare în urma unui atac cu rachete rusești asupra unei gări, a reușit duminică, 3 septembrie, să participe la o mică parte a unui semimaraton desfășurat în vestul țării, relatează CNN.

Iana Stepanenko, în vârstă de 12 ani, și-a pierdut ambele picioare în timpul bombardamentului asupra gării din Kramatorsk, care a ucis cel puțin 52 de oameni, inclusiv cinci copii, în aprilie 2022. Și mama fetei și-a pierdut picioarele în acel atac.

Duminică, ea a început să alerge la semimaratonul de la Liov, cu ajutorul unor proteze la picioare.

Evenimentul respectiv, intitulat „Liov Unbroken Half Marathon 2023“, a precizat online că se desfășoară în „a 557-a zi a noii realități, realitatea Unbroken”.

„Se aștepta ca ucrainenii să cadă în 72 de ore, dar au continuat să alerge până în ziua 557 și vor continua să alerge până la linia de sosire. Până la victoria noastră”, au precizat organizatorii, pe site-ul evenimentului.

Iana a alergat 70 de metri din maraton. O înregistrare video publicată de organizația caritabilă „Unbroken.Ukraine” o arată pe aceasta într-un tricou roz, pornind energic, printre mai mulți bărbați cu membre lipsă și aflați în cârje.

„Abia de curând am primit proteze pentru alergare și de obicei port unele obișnuite. Așa că abia acum învăț să alerg, puțin speriată, pentru că nu sunt încă obișnuită. Dar vreau să îi ajut pe copiii care și-au pierdut și ei picioarele și nu pot alerga. Vreau ca ei să vadă ce fac eu și să își spună: «Da! Și eu pot s-o fac! Și eu pot să alerg!»”, a spus Iana, citată de primăria din Liov pe site-ul instituției.

După atacul din 8 aprilie 2022, Iana, grav rănită, a mers la San Diego, California, pentru tratament. Ea a rămas acolo împreună cu familia ei timp de nouă luni, potrivit unui reportaj postat de organizația caritabilă Unbroken pe YouTube. Familia s-a întors în Ucraina în luna august, conform reportajului.

Consiliul municipal din Liov a precizat că aproape 1.900 de participanți au alergat duminică la semimaratonul care anul trecut a fost anulat din cauza războiului.
