Darkside have announced a new set of UK and European tour dates for the fall of 2024. Following the genre-bending, bar-raising electronic trio’s triumphant revival in 2021, this run will mark its second tour in a decade and bring the beloved project to 12 engagements across 10 countries as it continues to celebrate its reunion and second act. The band’s latest sprint will commence at Dublin, Ireland’s Button Factory on October 19 and run through a November 8 finale at the highly-anticipated 2024 return of Le Guess Who?.
Following its tour opener set, Darkside will move on to two shows in Scotland on Oct. 21 and 22, followed by a definite tour highlight staging at London’s Alexandra Palace Theatre on Oct. 24. Next, the trio will bear south to the Mediterranean for a July 28 appearance in Turkey and a June 30 set in Greece, then join avant-pop and electronic innovators like Dean Blunt, Shabaka, Hessle Audio and Arca at Club To Club festival in Turin, Italy on Nov. 1. A Nov. 3 show at L’Olympia in Paris will send the group into the final leg of its series, plotting three dates across Luxembourg and Belgium from Nov. 5-7 before finally taking the stage as part of Utrecht, Netherlands’ iconic Le Guess Who? festival on November 8.
Darkside’s 2024 tour arrives after a celebrated revival run in the summer of 2023, which saw the first-ever showings of the New York-based outfit’s new trio configuration, which brings percussionist and longtime collaborator Tlacael Esparza in as a full-time member alongside Nicolás Jaar and Dave Harrington. Since its return, the group has issued two new projects, first delivering the critically acclaimed sophomore studio LP Spiral in 2021, followed by the looser demo collection Live at Spiral House in 2023. For over a decade, the group’s 2013 debut Psychic has been heralded as a singularly influential concept album for a new era of dark and sonically complex electronica.
An artist presale for Darkside’s 2024 tour will open on Wednesday, May 15th at 10 a.m. local time, followed by a local presale on Thursday, May 16th at 10 a.m. local time and the general on-sale on Friday, May 17th at 10 a.m. local. For tickets and more information, visit darksidetheband.com
