Dirty Three Announce First Australian Tour In 12 Years, Return With New Album

Iconic ARIA Award-winning trio Dirty Three have returned, announcing their first album in over a decade – Love Changes Everything – and their first national tour in 12 years.

As a press release states, Dirty Three are “(a) back, (b) tangled in seaweed, rank with saltwater, and (c) not wasting another minute – as nothing is guaranteed”. Check out the first single below.

While Dirty Three were already set to perform at Melbourne’s recently announced RISING Festival, the trio – Warren Ellis, Mick Turner and Jim White – have locked in a full-blown Australian tour. The tour will find them hitting Sydney, Canberra, Thirroul, Fremantle, Adelaide, Hobart, Brisbane and Byron Bay and playing songs from their new album, which was recorded in just five days.

Ellis commented in a press release, “What joy to kick off the tour for our new album Love Changes Everything in Melbourne, Australia, for the RISING Festival.

“Recorded in 5 days. Mixed in a year. Nothing has changed. Older and meaner, sadder and totally dangerous. Dirty Three are Thirty-Two years old. Come blow out the candles and help us stick a knife in the cake.”

The tour takes place from Friday, 14 June, until Saturday, 29 June. Dirty Three will be joined by special guests Laura Jean and Eleanor Jawurlngali, with tickets on sale now for their Sydney and Canberra dates – sign up here for access – and general sale tickets for all other shows on sale tomorrow via Feel Presents. The RISING dates are completely sold out.

Love Changes Everything will be physically released on Friday, 14 June, before landing on digital platforms on Friday, 28 June. You can pre-order the album here or pre-save it here.
