FEMA holding resource fair in Las Vegas on Saturday

LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) – FEMA will be holding a resource in Las Vegas this weekend for those affected by the Hermit’s Peak Calf Canyon Fire. Attendees will be able to complete and submit a notice of loss and develop proof of loss documents as well as file claims for smoke damage and evacuation expenses.

Case managers from the State of New Mexico Disaster Care Managers will also be available to support residents with their recovery needs. Those with questions are being encouraged to reserve a spot ahead of time to work with a claim’s office representative. The fair will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department.
