Firefighters put out fire at church in northeast Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Firefighters have put out another outside fire this one causing damage at a northeast Albuquerque church. Albuquerque Fire Rescue says the fire began shortly before 9 a.m. in a small courtyard that extended into a building at the Church of the Nazarene at Los Altos near Central and Eubank.


AFR rescues three hikers injured in the Foothills

Crews got it under control in ten minutes and no one was injured. The fire is still under investigation.

AFR says they have seen a rise in outdoor fires at the start of this year compared to last year including one that destroyed the Wash Tub Laundromat.
