Help us make digital ID accessible to everyone (senior software engineer)

RMAG news

About Us

Hiya. We’re building VouchSafe, an identity verification toolkit that works for the 1 in 5 people who can’t pass traditional check for lack of conventional photo ID. We do this through vouching, the idea that someone’s identity can be confirmed through a trusted relationship with someone else.

About The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced software engineer to help us build VouchSafe. You’ll be an important part of our growing tech team, joining our CTO and junior software engineer at our London-based startup.

You’ll be responsible for planning, building and testing new features, informed by our user and customer research, as we get VouchSafe ready for launch.

What working with us is like:

a 4 day working week—no catch!
flexible working with core hours of 10am-4pm
flexible holiday policy—take what you need
hybrid working—half the week remote (right-to-work in the UK needed)

Skill & Qualifications

As a guide, you might have 4–5 years of experience in a software engineering-related discipline, but we don’t mind so long as you can do good work independently
Experience with some mixture of Node.js, TypeScript, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL and AWS
Familiarity with or interest in natural language processing, computer vision, fraud detection, user authentication or similar disciplines
Comfortable finding the ‘quick do”; making technical decisions with incomplete knowledge
