House Music Fest lineup is announced for summer 2024

The lineup is out for this summer’s Chicago House Music Festival, taking place June 2 in Millennium Park and preceded by a fest pre-party on Navy Pier and a house music conference and open house at the Cultural Center.

The announcement Thursday from the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events said the 2024 event will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the genre and Chicago as house music’s birthplace.

May 30: Open house at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington St.); free, hours 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

May 31: Chicago House Music Conference at the Chicago Cultural Center with panels and sessions hosted by musicians and experts; free, hours 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Topics include “The Last Hurrah: Making Money with Music in the Streaming Age” and “The Latine Influence on Chicago’s House Music Culture.”

June 1: House Music Festival Pre-Party with performances on the Wave Wall Stage at Navy Pier; free, hours 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

June 2: Chicago House Music Festival in Millennium Park; free, hours 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Performers on the mainstage at Jay Pritzker Pavilion (there will be a second stage with additional performers at the North Promenade):

1 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. Lori Branch
2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. Ash Lauryn
4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Karizma
5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. ANANÉ
6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Tony Touch
7:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wayne Williams and Alan King of the Chosen Few DJs
