TradingView is an online platform and social network for investors and traders, providing charts, data and community-driven market analysis. The platform also offers a variety of tools and features to help users filter and search the stock market for stocks that meet certain criteria. Here’s how to build a stock filter in TradingView:

Step 1: Log in to your TradingView account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one for free.

Step 2: On the TradingView homepage, click on the “Stock Screener” tab in the navigation bar.

Step 3: On the stock screener page, you will see a pre-built filter that shows the top gainers of the day. You can use this as a starting point or click on the “Create new screener” button to build your own filter.

Step 4: In the “Screener settings” section, give your screener a name and select the market you want to search in (e.g. US stocks, Forex, Crypto, etc.).

Step 5: In the “Filters” section, start adding criteria that you want stocks to meet. You can choose from various categories such as market cap, price, volume, technical indicators, financial ratios, and more. For example, you can select “Market cap” and set a minimum value of $1 billion to only include stocks with a market cap of over $1 billion.

Step 6: Use the “AND” or “OR” buttons to add more criteria and create a more focused filter. For example, you can select “Relative Strength Index (RSI)” and set a maximum value of 70 to only include stocks that are not overbought.

Step 7: Once you have added all the desired criteria, click on “Run screener” to see the results. You can further customize the results by adding more filters, sorting the results by various columns, and adjusting the number of results per page.

Step 8: If you want to save your filter for future use, click on the “Save current screener” button at the top of the page.

Step 9: You can also set up price alerts or create a watchlist from the results of your filter by clicking on the corresponding buttons at the top of the page.
