The original concept was not my idea. Even my idea is not completely my idea (I acquired the codebase from a fellow dev and developed it further putting my own spin on it).
Either way, it seems to be taking off. Every day I sell one pixel. That’s it.
Why are people buying them? Not sure, perhaps it’s the angle of the 1 day auction and the simplicity of it. Perhaps people are hoping the site keeps growing and the value of the backlink will increase in value as time goes on. Or maybe it’s because its possible to acquire a pixel for as cheap as $0.01.
Either way, selling pixels beats working long hours for a soul destroying job. I hope the trend continues 😀
