James Tavernier strike helps Rangers defeat Hibernian to reclaim top spot

Rangers climbed back to the top of the Premiership with a 3-1 win over Hibernian at Ibrox ahead of Celtic’s game with Livingston on Sunday.

Scott Wright thought he had put Rangers ahead in the 21st minute when he slotted home after the visiting keeper David Marshall saved a James Tavernier penalty, but the winger was penalised for encroachment and the effort was disallowed.
