Prabhas‘s upcoming project, Kalki 2898 AD, has been grabbing all attention with every new update. Although the film is a few weeks from its worldwide release, the makers have kept the fans posted. Touted to be one of the most expensive films in the history of Indian cinema, Kalki 2898 AD marks the first sci-fi dystopian drama in the country. What makes it even more remarkable is its star-studded cast.
While Kalki 2898 AD already has several actors from different film industries, reports of a few additions have been making rounds lately. So far, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and actresses Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani are playing key roles. On the other hand, Tamil star Kamal Haasan is also set to play a crucial part in the film.

According to a report by Gulte.com, Kalki 2898 AD might feature some special appearances by celebrated actors. Allegedly, Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda’s names have surfaced among film circles for cameos in the film.
The report claimed that the producers of the Prabha-starrer might bring more actors on board. In fact, actors who have worked on past projects by Vyjayanthi Movies are expected to appear in the upcoming sci-fi drama. Official announcements regarding the cameos are awaited.
In the latest update, after a long wait, the makers disclosed Amitabh Bachchan’s look and role in the flick. As shown in the latest teaser clip, Big B will portray the immortal Ashwatthama.
The announcement teaser for Bachchan’s role has intrigued the viewers because of the star’s enigmatic look. It opens with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan clad in a white-yellow attire. As a young boy named Raia enters his cave-like place, his meditation is interrupted. Awakened from his meditation, Ashwathama hurries to get out and confirms that he is Dronacharya’s son.
Kalki 2898 AD will hit the theaters on May 9, 2024.
