Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega returned to Dynamite last week after months of absence. Omega, who had been dealing with diverticulitis, had been out of action since December.
During last week’s AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry blindsided Kenny Omega while he was confronting Kazuchika Okada. This prompted The Young Bucks, Omega’s best friends, to enter the ring. However, in a surprising turn, The Young Bucks attacked Omega with an EVP Trigger. Following this assault, Kenny Omega needed to be stretchered out of the arena. Subsequently, he was attacked again backstage by The Elite as officials were escorting him into an ambulance.
Reports indicate that Kenny Omega, involved in physicality last week, remains ineligible to compete and is scheduled for surgery. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has speculated that fans may anticipate Omega’s return to action by the year’s end.
